How to select proper Motion Detection Sensor?

Electronic Motion detection sensors are very effective.

Electronic Motion detectors -

The mechanical motion is converted to electric signal and alarm is generated. Infrared or laser sensors are more popular. These sensors detect movement and send a signal to a sound device that produces an alarm or switch on an image recording device. This recording can be viewed later thro' a simple monitor or a computer.
